Washington DC

We went to DC on Wednesday. This was my first time seeing the sights. Awesome is an understatement!

We had a picnic in front of the Lincoln Memorial. This was the kids favorite part of the day.

Mount Vernon

Monday we went to Mount Vernon. Absolutely beautiful!

The kids loved the sheep. This one got right in Zoe's face and said "baaaaaaa!" He wanted some grass.

Caleb was fascinated.

We had so much fun!

Cherry Blossom Festival

We went to the Cherry Blossom Festival on Easter Weekend. It was very, very busy but worth it. Here are the highlights.

Jacob's doesn't have a very high opinion of the flowers.

Caleb, Zoe and Jacob were playing chase. Every time Caleb ran past me, he posed for the camera.

Zoe was dancing and singing.

Easter Weekend

Easter Weekend
We had a house full for Easter! My brother and his family came up from Texas and my cousin and her family came down from New Jersey. We had a blast! I felt "all grown up" hosting a family gathering with a kid table and everything! There will be a lot of pictures so beware.

Zoe dropped her bubbles. This is her "pitiful" face.

Everybody kept dropping their bubbles! This time it was Caleb.

Charlie enjoyed the festivities.

Bubbles!

Jacob's Top Ten

Here are Jacob's Top Ten most favorite things or sayings in no particular order.
1. Flashlights-when we lost power during the back to back blizzards he was in heaven.
2. Super heroes-ALL super heroes
4. Star Wars
5. His new bunk beds
6. Jovanny- his best friend from school. Jacob talks about him all the time.
7. "Mommy can we say that?"-Jacob said a bad word a few weeks ago and I had to explain that he is not allowed to say certain things. Now, he constantly asks me what he is allowed to say.
8. The "Snowman" song from Primary
9. Helping with Peyton
10.Picking on Zoe

Happy Birthday Jacob!

My baby boy is FIVE years old! I'm not sure how I feel about that. On his birthday we had a cupcake party at his school. I had fun sitting with him for story time and getting to meet all of his school friends. We had a bowling party for him this past Friday night. We all had a great time but I am glad it is over! A birthday party with a bunch of 5 & 6 year olds is hard work! Jacob had a blast with his friends and opening presents.
