Oh the Places You Will Go!

I feel like we have been around the world and back, and we still have further to go! Since we left San Angelo, TX on the 1st of April we have been to College Station, Port Aransas (just Brandon and I...awesome!), Austin, Baytown, Clearlake, and now Lafayette, LA. We are a bit tired but very grateful that our kids adapt well to new surroundings. After 3 weeks of this, last night was the first time Jacob said he was ready to go home. We have done bluebonnet pictures, had Easter egg hunts, gone to NASA, and gone fishing. Needless to say we have had a fun filled 3 weeks. We have gotten great news in the last couples of days as well. We are no longer homeless. We made it to the top of the "on base housing wait list" and have been given our new address. There are two houses to pick from but we basically already picked one because it has a fence and the other one doesn't. Anyway, it is a great weight off our shoulders to know that we will have a home when we get there and not have to live in a hotel. We leave Lafayette on Monday to head to Maryland. I will hopefully be able to write more about our trip when we get settled but here are a few pictures to hold everyone over.

Jacob's Top Ten

  1. Planes, Spaceships-This can actually be a plane or just an object he throws through the air.
  2. Trains-GeoTrax and the Polar Express. He also likes us to make a choo-choo train out of the couch cusions. It looks more like a fort but he gets inside and yells, "All aboard!"
  3. Automobiles-the imaginary ones are the best. He will sit in the middle of the bed, arrange the blankets and pillows, and tell me, "Mommy, I driving!"
  4. Swimming-Jacob will stay in the pool all day if you will let him.
  5. Tickling-He loves to have tickle fights but he likes to tell you when you should tickle him and when you should tickle Zoe.
  6. "Helping"-he loves to help cook
  7. Shooter-our dog
  8. Playing chase-or just running. This activity can include anyone.
  9. Going to the park-basically anything that has to do with being outside
  10. Snuggling on the couch and watching a movie.

These are in no particular order. They are just a few of the fun things about Jacob!

Happy Birthday Jacob!

I can't believe that Jacob is already 4! We celebrated his birthday last week with all of the family in Austin. He had a pirate theme and absolutely loved it! Tonight we got to open presents and go to Mr. Gattis for food and fun. The food...no so good. The fun...we had a blast. Here are some pictures of the festivities.

Happy Anniversary & News

Five years ago today I married the man of my dreams. I can't believe it has already been five years!! Brandon and I will be going on a child free, 4 day vacation at the end of this month. There are a lot of changes going on in our lives right now and I am so glad I am able to share them with Brandon.

One of the most recent changes is that we will soon be a family of 5. I am pregnant and had my first ultrasound today! I am about 7-9 weeks pregnant. I will find out our official due date at my next Dr's appt. We are very excited and I will post the ultrasound picture as soon as I get it scanned onto the computer.

Visiting Family

This past week the kids and I went to Austin to visit my friend Lauren and all of the family. We had a great time! We also got to visit with Grandmother Eaves. Here are some pictures of our day in the pool. The kids had a great time playing with their cousins!

Houston Zoo

This past week the kids and I went to visit my Mom and Mark in College Station. Mom was able to take some time off work so we could play. We met Tatum and Madelyn at the Houston Zoo and had a blast. Jacob and Madelyn had a great time running around together.

All three of them were throwing leaves in the pond.

With all the animals to see, this is what they wanted to do.

Zoe wanted to get on the goats level.
Jacob is trying to make sure Madelyn doesn't fall off the fence...so sweet.
